Less than an hour away from downtown Peoria is the 2nd largest lake in Arizona known as Lake Pleasant. Managed by Maricopa County Parks & recreational Department, Lake Pleasant covers 10,000 acres. Outdoor activities include boating, fishing, sailing, skiing, hiking and camping. Or if you prefer an elegant sunset dinner, you can board the Desert Princess II Cruise boat.
If you are a baseball fan then Arizona is the place to be! Peoria is the home to the San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners for their spring training season. Peoria Sports Complex was built in 1994 and hosts a variety of events throughout the year such as car shows, 4th of July celebration, carnivals and other family friendly events.
