Located in north Peoria is the Challenger Space Center, which offers a variety of services like Family Star Night and Corporate Teambuilding. If you prefer the most artist side of things, than you will appreciate the $13 million Center for the Performing Arts. The Peoria Center for the Arts consists of a 280 seat main stage auditorium, an 80+ seat black box theater, classrooms, elegant lobby, dressing rooms, backstage support areas and office space for Theater Works.
With the highest concentration of restaurants in the Valley, Peoria has dining covered at “restaurant row” located in Arrowhead Fountain Center. Your taste buds will be thrilled when you can choose from all your favorites like Mexican, Italian, Japanese, American, Chinese, BBQ or fresh steaks. Arrowhead Fountain Center offers dancing, live music, movies and other family fun.
Despite the warm climate, residents of Peoria can still enjoy a little bit of the icy temps at Polar Ice. They offer kids and adult hockey leagues, tournaments, ice skating, camps and clinics. The general public can also visit AZ Ice: Peoria for free style skating or plan a special birthday party.

Less than an hour away from downtown Peoria is the 2nd largest lake in Arizona known as Lake Pleasant. Managed by Maricopa County Parks & recreational Department, Lake Pleasant covers 10,000 acres. Outdoor activities include boating, fishing, sailing, skiing, hiking and camping. Or if you prefer an elegant sunset dinner, you can board the Desert Princess II Cruise boat.
If you are a baseball fan then Arizona is the place to be! Peoria is the home to the San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners for their spring training season. Peoria Sports Complex was built in 1994 and hosts a variety of events throughout the year such as car shows, 4th of July celebration, carnivals and other family friendly events.
Hiking at Lake Pleasant is a great way to see the desert in Arizona. Peoria is also proud to have Sonoran Mountain Ranch Park and hiking at West Wing.
